Challenge Studio's award winning Zaferanieh Residential Tower
The Zaferanieh Tower, designed by Challenge Studio, is the laureate of the recent 2018 Architizer A+ Award. The site for the Zaferanieh Residential Building is located in Tehran, Iran and is situated at one of the highest urban altitudes and with a comprehensive view of the city.
The design objective was to create an integrative relationship between structure and context. As the green spaces are concentrated to the East of the site, the project is divided into two blocks and the West block is shifted South to allow views from each block to both natural and urban views.
The Tehran-based firm won both the Jury and Popular Choice Awards for their response to the prompt for a design that "champion[s] its potential for a positive impact on everyday life." The proposal was also a Selected Project in the 2018 2A Asia Architecture Award (2AAA) in the Future Projects/Innovative Designs Category.
