Novotown Cultural and Entertainment Complex, China
Novotown cultural and entertainment complex, located on Hengqin Island, China, is designed by Aedas Group as a tourist destination and local icon.
Novotown is built upon the concept of an open palm, symbolizing innovation. The zoning design coincides with the human brain. The left zone represents science and technology; while the right zone represents art and culture.
This 120,000-square meter complex features a retail and dining ring, an expansive courtyard, a shopping mall, a wedding pavilion, a Healthcare and Beauty Center, a multi-purpose performance hall, and two indoor themed attractions: Lionsgate Entertainment World and National Geographic Ultimate Explorer. Three upper-level towers house the Hengqin Hyatt Regency Hotel, a 52,000-square meter office tower, and a cultural workshop tower.
Lionsgate Entertainment World™ is a themed immersive experience center that will bring to life some of Lionsgate’s most successful film properties in China and National Geographic Ultimate Explorer “edutainment” center allows virtual tours of science explorations and wildlife.
Construction is scheduled for completion in 2019.
