MIRA, designed by Studio Gang, is a 40-story Residential Tower in the heart of San Francisco, USA. The design responds to the need for dense housing in the city and offers new models of sustainability, all while reinterpreting the city’s architectural traditions. It evolves the classic bay window, a familiar feature of San Francisco’s early houses, reimagining it in a high-rise context. The Bay-inspired design means every residence has an outlook of almost 180 degrees, natural light throughout the day, and fresh air.
The building will include 392 luxury residences, in a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom condominiums, townhouses, and penthouses.
Residents will also have access to a host of amenities inside the building, such as a private dining room, club lounge, a fitness center, conference room, a children's playroom, and a "dog-washing station".
Valet parking for 340 cars – including charging stations for electric vehicles – bicycle parking, and 10,000 square feet (929 square meters) of shops on the ground level are among the other facilities.
The high-performance facade, along with an innovative VRF cooling system, green roofs, and high-efficiency fixtures, puts the project on target for LEED Gold certification.
