The BMW iX
The BMW iX is a battery-electric mid-size luxury crossover SUV manufactured and marketed by the BMW. It was unveiled in concept form named Vision iNext at the 2018 Paris Motor Show and then as fully production-ready in November 2020. It’s the first BMW EV to be built on a bespoke electric platform since the i3, it’s the most powerful EV it’s ever made, it has more range than any other electric BMW ever, and it’s the most luxurious one, too. The styling is certainly distinctive, with brutal surfacing, a low shoulder line, and enlarged kidney grilles setting the iX apart from just about anything on the road.
The BMW iX has one of the best interiors the brand has ever concocted. It's crammed with high-end (and recycled) materials and features a stunning, minimalist design that extends from the dash to the second row. The focal point is that massive center screen; the beautifully curved display houses a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch central touchscreen behind a single continuous piece of glass. iX is available in either xDrive40 or range-topping xDrive50 guise, priced from £69,905 and £91,905 respectively. Both models use an electric motor on the front and rear axles, with the xDrive40 producing 322bhp and providing 257 miles of range from a 71kWh (net) battery.
