The Toronamon-Azabudai District is a complex of three skyscrapers under construction in Tokyo. Construction of the complex began in 2019 and is expected to be completed in 2023. The complex, designed by the architectural firm Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects, is being developed by the Mori Building Company. It is estimated that the project will cost about 580 billion yen. Accompanying the skyscrapers are a series of low-rise buildings designed to create a landscape pergola, designed by Heatherwick Studio. The design embodies the concept of a “Modern Urban Village".
The main tower, measuring 325 meters tall, will be the tallest building in Tokyo. It will contain 64 floors. Alongside the taller mixed-use tower there will be two 263 and 237 meters high residential towers. The project will have a total floor area of 860,400 m2. The project’s three towers will include 213,900 m2 of office space, 1400 residential units, a hotel, an international school, retail shops, restaurants, and cultural facilities.
